Appointment Prep

Prior to your scheduled services, be sure to do the following for all services:

Be sure to stop using anti-aging (including tretinoid, Retin-A, or other topical ointment) creams 14 days prior to your procedure. This also includes AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) and other chemical peels, facials, and microdermabrasion.

Do not wax, pluck, thread, or shave for at least one week prior to your enhancement.

Stop taking aspirin, niacin, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, CoQ10, and ibuprofen 48 hours prior to coming in for your appointment.  This can cause excess bleeding.

Avoid sun tanning and getting sun burnt one week ahead of your procedure.

If you get injections, such as Botox, they MUST be done at least 30 days prior.

DO NOT drink alcohol for 48 hours prior to coming in.

MUST be a minimum age of 18.  No exceptions.  Bring identification with you for your appointment.

PLEASE READ!

If you are any of the following or suffer from any of the following, you might not be a good candidate for permanent makeup:

  • Pregnancy-wait till that precious baby is born, then schedule an appointment.
  • Diabetes Type 1-you may get permanent makeup if your blood sugar is under control for the duration of the procedure.  No pigment will be applied to the following areas: feet, ankles, shins, or buttocks due to poor circulation. Injection sites will also be avoided.
  • Lupus-AVOID procedures when cutaneous lupus is active or if there is an active lesion. Any pigment placed in the skin can cause an immune response, lupus flare up, or other reactions.
  • Active Skin Disorders: If you suffer from cold sores or shingles, understand that most of the time a flare up will occur.  Be sure to speak with your doctor and have medication readily available for after the procedure is completed.
  • Active Vitiligo-must wait 7 years until it's not active any longer to avoid discoloration of pigment.
  • Rosacea-any irritation of the pigment may cause irritation until removed.
  • Blood Disorders: Sickle Cell, Hemophilia or any other bleeding disorder
  • Keloid Formation-MUST wait one year to ensure scar is done healing. We may not place pigment over a keloid formation.
  • Accutane-MUST be off for 6 months.
  • Steroids-MUST be off for 6 months.
  • MUST disclose any blood borne pathogen issues or diseases such as hepatitis or HIV/AIDS
